Kate earned her Master’s in School Counseling from the University of Scranton and has been working as a school counselor at Tunkhannock Area School District in Wyoming County.
At Tunkhannock, Kate has established community resources and unique programs within the school. Her student groups run and organize the Classroom Closet which provides students and the community with supplies for essential needs. Kate was also selected to pilot a therapy dog program Tunkhannock Area School District. Last year she trained a puppy named Sunny and they became a Therapy Dog Team this Spring through Pleasure of Your Company Therapy Dogs.
In her free time Kate enjoys time with her family and friends, camping, and volunteering with her therapy dog organization. Kate writes stories inspired by her own children. In 2022 she became an Amazon’s best seller author of a children’s book in the category of values.
